Christmas Day 2013 Jekyll Island, GA

Christmas Day 2013
Jekyll Island, GA

Christmas Eve afternoon we arrived at Jekyll Island Harbor and were greeted by our friends, Jim and Betsy, who arrived a few days earlier.   About 20 cruisers gathered around a campfire last night and enjoyed TX oysters, steamed shrimp, and smoked ribs.  The wood smoke was a wonderful "bouquet" for me resurrecting many memories of camping trips when the children were little.  Today I've found myself burying my nose in last night's sweat shirt savoring the sweet bouquet and inhaling those precious times and reminiscing of decades ago.

Following are photos taken today on the Jekyll Island Historic Area.

On this Christmas night, we hope that your day has been centered around God's gift to us, the Christ child.
